Getting a Nervous Cat Used to a Stroller

DRAFT — replace. Placeholder blog copy.

Cats are creatures of routine, and a stroller is a brand-new, wheeled, moving box. The trick is to make it boring before you make it move.

Step 1: Make it furniture

Leave the stroller open in a room your cat likes, with a familiar blanket inside. Let them investigate on their own terms for a few days. No pressure, no closing the door.

Step 2: Feed inside it

Move mealtimes or treats into the open cabin. Your cat learns the space means good things.

Step 3: Short, still sessions

Have your cat sit inside with the cabin zipped — but not moving — for a minute or two. Build up slowly.

Step 4: The first roll

Start with a few metres indoors, then a quiet trip outside. Keep early outings short. An enclosed cat stroller gives the security that makes all of this easier.
