Build quality
Frame rigidity, materials, wheels, zips and fabric over repeated use.
Ease of use
Fold and unfold, lifting, steering, entry/exit and storage access.
Comfort
Ride smoothness, suspension, cabin space, ventilation and visibility.
Value
Performance and durability relative to price and category.
The process
- Acquire — we buy or borrow each model; we don't accept ranking payments.
- Live with it — real walks across pavement, gravel and kerbs.
- Stress the basics — repeated folds, full-capacity loads, brake and lock checks.
- Score — each pillar scored 0–5; the overall is a weighted blend.
- Re-test on update — guides are revisited as new models arrive.
